The Hand of History — The Mind of the Inventor is  a month-long series presented by the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Part two is on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 3 pm ET.

Presented by historians, the series is about 20th-century inventions, inventors, their patents, and the economic implications of them, from the 1900s to the 1950s.

This session, about television, is presented by Evan I. Schwartz, a documentary filmmaker, along with USPTO historian Adam Bisno.  Ensuing sessions cover automobiles and aviation, toys, umbrellas, and other neat things.
