Matthew Whitaker, President Trump’s Acting Attorney General, served on the advisory board of a business called World Patent Marketing, a Miami firm that was fined $26 million and shut down by the FTC for scamming customers. Whitaker promoted the business for years while fielding angry client complaints.

World Patent Marketing's Youtube videos featured Mr. Whitaker, as well as an assortment of made-for-stock-photography models, promoting WPM’s patent services (below). #

In addition to Mr. Whitaker, World Patent Marketing’s advisory board (below) included a world-heavyweight champion of martial arts, a general in a Middle East army, various Ph.Ds., and a Central African Republic presidential candidate. Despite their formidable titles, they did not reveal what made them qualified to advise about patents.
